We would like to introduce to you Ms. Aelicia Thomas one of our Virtual Re-Entry Conference and Resource Fair speakers.
Ms. Thomas grew up in the small town of Maben, MS. She obtained her B.A. in Political Science from Alcorn State University, in Lorman, MS and her law degree from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), in Oxford, MS.
Ms. Thomas relocated to the Mississippi Delta after graduating from law school. She eventually started her own law firm after losing her job with North MS Rural Legal Services. She has been serving as the Bolivar County Prosecuting Attorney position for 10yrs. She is proud to be the first African and first woman to ever hold this position.
Ms. Thomas is the co-owner of A & A Realty which is a real estate investment company. She is the co-founder and Executive Director of The I Believe Project, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to garner family stability among low socio-economic communities by promoting growth and entrepreneur training for youth and adults. Ms. Thomas served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Bolivar County Community Action Agency until February of 2019,
She is the mother of two boys, Chandler and Brandon, God-mother to Supervisor Jacorius Liner and God grand-mother of Haleigh Liner and Asher. She is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, Bolivar County Bar Association, Magnolia Bar Association, Mississippi Prosecutors Association and the National Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. She is also a member and evangelist of Changing Your World Ministries of Rosedale, MS and Associate Pastor of Christians Standing Up for Jesus and a prolific transformational speaker.
Ms. Thomas favorite quote is: “The man who thinks he can and the man who thinks he can’t are both right.”

The conference is free to the re-entry community (must have spent time in jail or prison), $5.00 registration fee (donation) for the public and $25.00 for attorney’s that includes six (6) hours of continuing legal education credits.
